Agent 122 was born Lindsey Wordsworth June 4, 2200 (which makes her a Taurus, an Earth sign) in Barnet, England. Her father Lawrence was a cybernetic engineer, her mother Lucy a housewife. When she was four they moved to Houston, Texas because Lawrence got a job with the Agency.
Lindsey was a beautiful, intelligent, willful, child. She went to prep school and frequently got into trouble. She was in love with Matthew Henning X, a gifted fellow student. Both sets of parents disapproved of the relationship so they met in secret. They celebrated their one-year anniversary by going to a carnival. Matt won a teddy bear and gave it to Lindsey as a gift. While driving home that rainy night Matt lost control of the car and they were struck by a truck. Matt was horribly disfigured and Lindsey suffered massive brain damage. When they found her she was still clutching the teddy bear.
Lindsey was in a coma. Lawrence was given authorization to attempt to save his daughter using the experimental interface technology he’d been developing. Lindsey survived but much of her memory & personality were gone. Once she had physically recovered, The Agency proclaimed that she is now their property and a test subject of Project T.E.R.R.A.. Lindsey would never see her parents again.
Among a variety of cybernetic devices designed to sustain her and enhance her physical abilities, two artificial glands were implanted in her: one that secretes huge amounts of somatotrophin, a biochemical that promotes tissue repair and another that secretes anti-rejection drugs so her body will retain the numerous cybernetic implants.
To counter the risk of rebellion, The Agency had Lindsey’s pre-accident memories removed. Also, after every mission her explicit long-term memory is erased.
After rigorous physical and psychological training, Lindsey, heretofore known as Agent 122, soon became the Agency’s most valuable asset. The only remnant of her past she is permitted to have is the teddy bear Matt gave her the night of the accident, but only if she scores high enough after completing a mission.
Her new designation: Agent 122 - Codename: T.E.R.R.A.
